interested in saving millions of dollars by avoiding overpressure, read on.
WIT Detect is a two-phase program which complements more expensive, VSP-based overpressure detection schemes. Phase 1 is a relatively fast and inexpensive way to get a wide-area overpressure attribute just under the base of salt. What's better, Phase 1 does not require any field data tape copy - just provide us with one or more images and we will use it to derive an overpressure attribute. Phase 2 uses our patent-pending Migration Velocity Focusing Analysis to measure velocity under salt, which is an overpressure attribute.

Some key prerequisites must be satisfied for Phase 2 to give optimal results. WIT tests these prerequisites in the Phase 1 simulation and imaging study.
