Interpreter's Guide to Depth Imaging, by Scott MacKay (MacKay Consulting, Denver CO). Scott (contact) is recognized as one of the industry's top advocates of PSDM technology. As an independent consultant, he advises his clients (E&P companies) how to get the best PSDM result from vendors. We at WIT feel that Scott's advice is spot-on and recommend reading the paper listed above before starting a PSDM project.

2012 Denver Geophysical Society Luncheon - Niobrara Shale case study (SE Wyoming) highlighting the importance of PSDM to resolve true structure under shallow lateral velocity variation. The case study also underscored PSDM's ability to unmask subtle faults.
2012 Wyoming Geological Society Luncheon - This presentation highlights the core benefits of PSDM (improved structural imaging and fault definition) with a set of examples from around the US.

Salt Dome RTM Feasibilty Study: We run a similar study ahead of any salt imaging project. Trying to image salt flanks or subsalt with the wrong data wastes the client's money. We can test whether a given survey even has a chance of succeeding.

Complex Mid-Continent example: The client had a "hopeless" seismic survey and a 3D geologic model. Our simulation study confirmed what they feared--they simply weren't recording reflected energy over much of the prospect.
