HOUSTON (August 4, 2009)-Oscar E Ramirez has been named Manager of Data
Processing Services at Wave Imaging Technology, Inc. (WIT).
Ramirez comes to WIT from a position as senior geophysicist for Weinman GeoScience, Houston. Morgan P. Brown, President and CEO of WIT, and Ramirez worked together as a team in Geosciences Technology Group at Amerada Hess Corporation. Ramirez brings additional seismic data processing experience to Wit from his prior work in Louisiana, deepwater Gulf of Mexico, Williston Basin, West and East Texas, Oklahoma, the North Sea, South China Sea, Peru, Morocco and offshore Brazil . He holds Bachelor of Science and Masters of Science degrees in Earth Systems from Stanford University. and Marketing for Wave Imaging Technology.
Wood has more than 25 years experience in domestic and international seismic exploration, market research and business development. He has worked with Western Geophysical, Fairfield Industries, Seismic & Digital Concepts, Digicon Geophysical and Geozone Energy Group. He holds a BS in Geology from Southern Methodist University, an MS in Environmental Sciences from the University of Texas-San Antonio, and an MBA from Our Lady of the Lake University. HOUSTON (December 22, 2008) -- Two new directors have been named to the board of Wave
Imaging Technology Inc (WIT), a seismic imaging services company to oil
and gas exploration and production firms.
Michael Weill, who retired as President of Operations and Technology from BHP Billiton Petroleum in October 2007, has been named to the board. During his 11 years at BHP, his responsibilities included development and production in the Americas and Australia and President of Integrated Business development for BHP. Prior to BHP, he held various managerial and technical positions with Shell in New Orleans, Houston and The Hague. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from Cornell University. Philip Taggart, president of Taggart Financial Group, Inc., also has been named to the WIT board. He has been active in investor relations work since 1964 and is the author of the book Taking Your Company Public published by the American Management Association. He has provided communication services for 58 initial public offerings, more than 200 other new issues and numerous mergers and acquisitions. Taggart serves on the boards of International Expert Systems and AmREIT. A distinguished alumnus of the University of Tulsa, he has been a university instructor in investor relations at the University of Houston. been named vice-president, chief financial officer and director of Wave
Imaging Technology Inc (WIT), a seismic imaging firm serving oil and gas
exploration and development companies.
Wiley has developed the company's business plan and is spearheading the company's venture capital efforts to raise money for WIT's expanding international operations. He previously held positions at Chase Bank, Crutcher Resources Corporation, Sabine Steel and Construction and International Expert Systems. He was graduated from Lafayette College, Easton, Pennsylvania, with a degree in Economics. HOUSTON (November 24, 2008) -- Wave Imaging Technology Inc. has been formed as a
Texas Corporation to provide new patent pending analysis to extract
information from reflected seismic waves in oil and gas exploration and
production.
The company's first three assignments came from Petrobras America Inc., Aera Energy and BHP. Joseph H. Higginbotham has been named chairman, chief technology officer and director of the Company. He is a 25-year industry veteran who worked for Texaco, Chevron and 3DGeo, and is a recognized world expert in wave equation depth imaging. He developed the Siesta processing system which is used for both land, marine seismic processing and in virtual simulations. He holds a PH. D. in Theoretical Physics from the University of Toledo. Morgan P. Brown has been named president, chief executive officer and director. He is a 2004 PH.D. graduate of the Stanford Exploration Project He has held R&D positions at Hess Corp and 3DGEO, working in wave imaging technology, reflection tomography and automated seismic interpretation.
